Founders
Born and raised in a technologically advanced world, Mario has grown up with a lifelong fascination with technology and a desire to uncover the inner workings of devices. His logical way of looking at the world, has afforded Mario the rare gift of being able to solve even the most complicated of problems. It is this ability, amongst others, that has helped him reach the heights he has today.
With a specific interest in the travel industry, he focuses his energy on finding ways to connect our world through digital, wireless and mobile platform.
Leo’s keen eye for design and beauty has given him an insatiable hunger for the finer things in life. Always on the look out for new, exciting experiences, Leo appreciates all that the world has to offer him and draws inspiration from his surroundings. For Leo, technology is the answer to every problem. His passion for design and mission to develop revolutionary technology have given rise to his catch phrase “There must be an app for this!” Always full of ideas, there is no such thing as a boring meeting when Leo is around.
After a long discussion about traveling a question came up; why people do not weigh their luggage before heading to the airport? Is not easy to weigh your 45 lbs luggage on your bathroom scale and most of the hotels in the world do not have a bathroom scale. My father had challenged me to come up with a new product, a digital luggage scale that will do a better job than what was out there.
One year and 5 prototypes later we launched in February 27, 2007 at The Travel Goods Show in Vegas, the Balanzza, the first Digital Luggage Scale for Travelers.
